Why join a delegation?

The PML delegation experience is unique because:

     1. You will build personal relationships.

You will focus on cultural exchange and creating connections between people,

rather than on short-term projects. You will gain a wider understanding of our

common humanity despite our different cultures.

     2. You will learn about life in Nicaragua through immersion and homestay.

You will not be an average American tourist! Many returning delegates consider

homestays the highlight of the trip.  Home stays can be hard work, challenging and

sometimes unsettling, yet are invaluable in deepening the learning experience. You

will bring home not only memories, but perhaps better Spanish and a taste for

         Nicaraguan food!

     3. You will experience the benefits of PML's 25-year partnership between

         Leoneses and Minnesotans.

You will see the social, political, and economic realities of life in León. This glimpse

may propel you to continue working on one of PML's ongoing projects or to work

with Leoneses in the creation of a new partnership.
